This rose was named in memory of Empress Joséphine's famous garden at Malmaison. The delicate, blush pink flowers are large and very beautiful, but susceptible to rain damage and so better in dry climates. They are cup-shaped at first, later becoming flat and distinctly quartered. It is understood to be one of Joseph's favourite roses and one which he used in his breeding programme.

Flowers are creamy-white, tinged yellow, and are medium-sized, in large corymbs. It produces immense trusses all Summer, continuing through to Autumn. The beautifully shaped flowers are fully produced on long panicles. This rose was used by Joseph Pemberton in the creation of many of his new introductions.

This rose has large double flowers of bright golden-yellow, flushed at the edges of the petals with orange-red, borne upon stout stems. Vigorous, erect and branching plants with shining bronze-green foliage.
